About Us

A Nurturing & Caring Environment For Your Child

To a child, everything is a wonder; children’s curiosity is intrinsic to their learning.  Their brains soak up everything around them as they explore and make sense of their environment.

Our mission at Nature’s House is the pursuit of excellence in our meticulously prepared and enriched whole school environment through professional, experienced guidance. We promote critical thinking and emphasise imaginative play as part of following the child’s natural interest and exploration of their world.

All activities are carefully designed to nurture the emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of our children. Through stimulating situations and hands-on learning opportunities, children are given the tools and support they need for healthy, whole development, whilst having fun!

Nature’s House Preschool builds on your child’s strengths and interests, and encourages them to explore their potential, offering a solid foundation in their early years.

Our curriculum encompasses a broad spectrum, including language and literacy development, a strong mathematical foundation, valuable social skills, and essential creative expression.

Tanya Jordaan

After completing a B.A. in Fine Arts at the University of Cape Town, my career started with community development in the arts, culture, and heritage field. Becoming a mother of two beautiful girls, my interests shifted towards Early Childhood Development.

In 2016 my career as an ECD practitioner began at Stepping Stones Montessori School (3-6 year old’s) and later I took on the role as H.O.D of preschool at Stepping Stones Montessori school.

I believe this mixture of interests and diversity of experience has added to my many skills. As a qualified foundation phase teacher, I always dreamt of working with 18 months -3 year old’s and to one day run my own playgroup from my home. This dream has now become a reality!

I believe that the preschool age group is where all the magic happens; the foundation that will ground them for their future learning. It is important to allow children to learn through their senses, through art, play and exploration. I believe children should have the freedom of discovering things for themselves and find magic in life.
